Internet quota

Curtin applies Internet quotas on a monthly basis in order to provide a fair-share approach to all users.

How much quota do I get?

Each student is given a monthly Internet traffic quota based on their role at Curtin:

Note: Curtin sites (eg OASIS, iLecture) are free - they do not count towards your quota.

What happens if I use up my quota?

If you use all of your monthly Internet allowance your Internet speed for external sites will be throttled (meaning they will load at a much slower rate).

How do I request an increase in Internet quota?

To request an increase in your Internet quota, log in to OASIS, and under the "welcome" tab you will find "account management". Click on "View your account details", then click on "Request an increase in internet allowance". Fill in the form and click "Request Increase".
